Calming and relaxing breathwork sessions designed to down-regulate the nervous system, quieten the mind and create a sense of stillness within the body. These sessions will create a space that is conducive for sleep, helping you to nod off and have a deep and restful nights sleep.

Drifting Off

In this breathwork session we start with a body scan whilst integrating a slow abdominal breath to down-regulate the nervous system. We then move onto Coherent Breathing which will help to quieten the mind and calm the body. Integrating an exhale through pursed lips will further slow down down the breath and increase our vagal tone, moving us into a deeper sense of stillness. The session ends with what is known as Ujjayi breath to helps us nod off into a deep sleep. Ujjayi breath has as a balancing influence on the entire cardiorespiratory system and the nervous system, calming the mind and body and bringing with it with many benefits.

Sleep Time

In this session we start with a meditation and a body scan to bring the body to a place of stillness. Following that, we practice Coherent Breathing - as we balance the breath, we balance the nervous system. This induces states of calm and relaxation within the mind and body. This is integrated with slow abdominal breathing either side of each Coherent Breathing rounds. This will further stimulate the Parasympathetic Nervous system, which in turn reduces anxiety levels and muscle tension.
